‘Jules Hogan’ is an evolving timeless collection of fashion and home accessories. I am a knitwear designer for people who like to make a quiet statement.

The first shoots of the business began to form in 2010 with a single domestic knitting machine and small quantity of yarn. It was a counter balance to a fast paced full time design job. I had a strong desire to produce knitwear that was mindfully made, at a slower pace, using natural fibres.

In those early days I did everything myself, knitting, washing and pressing. As the business has grown, and become more sought after, I am now working with artisan knitters in Scotland and The Lake District, to produce my designs. They share my passion for well made, premium hand-finished knitwear.

It’s important to me that I’m making a contribution to the once flourishing UK textile industry and creating jobs. With a commitment to quality, the finest ethical fibres and materials are sourced, including super soft lambs wool, Irish Donegal and cashmere blends.

We have recently relocated to Shropshire. My studio and creative haven is based in the countryside, just outside Shrewsbury. We look out onto open fields, surrounded by wildlife. I am inspired by this landscape but also drawn to tradition, sea views, striping and patchwork, updating them with the use of seasonal colour.
